What is EXIF?
EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) is the metadata standard every digital camera and phone embeds into JPEG, HEIC, TIFF and most RAW files. It records who shot the picture, what gear they used, how the camera was configured and, often, where on earth the shutter was pressed.
You can not see EXIF in a normal image viewer. It lives inside the file alongside the pixels and travels with the photo wherever it goes: WhatsApp, email, cloud drives, AirDrop.
What this viewer shows you
Everything exiftool can parse, grouped by source: EXIF, IPTC, XMP, ICC, maker notes, IFD, composite. If your file carries a tag, you see it.
Photos also get a small highlights row up top with camera, lens, date taken, exposure, GPS and colour profile, so the usual questions are answered without scrolling.
Privacy
Your file is never stored. We extract the metadata, generate a small preview, and forget the original bytes. The analysis itself is deleted after a configurable number of days. You can delete it sooner from the link you receive.
